NuGo Athlete of the Month: Olga Cayetano

Olga Cayetano is a 34-year-old bodybuilder who was born and raised in Mexico. In 2013, Olga’s mom was diagnosed with cancer, and that’s when Olga decided that she needed to change her lifestyle. She doesn’t want to go through what her mom has gone through because of cancer. Her mother, who is starting her third battle against cancer, is her motivation to continue with plant-based bodybuilding and a career as a personal trainer.

“I want to be healthier and stronger for my mother. I also want to help educate people about a healthier lifestyle and to help them reach their goals.”

Olga has competed in two bodybuilding competitions and her greatest achievement was doing a muscle competition because they require a lot of discipline and commitment. Her biggest challenge and goal will be competing in a vegan bodybuilding competition next summer.

NuGo Protein Cookies are Olga's favorite product line. She loves all the flavors, but Dark Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Raisin are her favorites. She has a major sweet tooth, and the cookies help to satisfy her sweet cravings. She uses them as pre-workout energy since she doesn’t use any pre-workout supplements. The cookies give her the energy that she needs to kill her workouts. OIga explained the features she loves best in NuGo Protein Cookies.

“I love that these cookies are vegan. They are also gluten-free and non-gmo and have 16 grams of protein. Seriously these cookies have everything!!!”

She is a personal trainer, but is also in school to be a nutritionist. Before she began bodybuilding, Olga was a runner. She ran one full marathon, eight half marathons, and one triathlon. Follow Olga on her journey to her next competition on Instagram!
