Emily Nicole Manganaro is a 17-year-old high school senior. She is a dual-enrollment student, meaning that she also takes college classes online. She will have completed nearly a full year of college when she graduates high school this year. In the fall, she will attend either La Roche College, just north of Pittsburgh, or Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, where she will major in psychology and minor in sociology. She hopes to eventually earn a PhD in Psychology or a MD in Psychiatry.
In her busy life as a student and working at a local chain restaurant, Emily knows the importance of making time for proper nutrition and physical fitness. NuGo Bars are an important part of her healthy lifestyle, and she always has one tucked in her apron at work! She uses her elliptical for approximately 30-45 minutes daily, attends Yoga-Bar classes, and loves to swim when she has time. For Emily, the keys to fitness are repetition and keeping it simple.
Emily’s favorite NuGo bar is NuGo Family Vanilla Yogurt. She also loves NuGo Family Peanut Butter Chocolate and Banana Chocolate. She said, “I use them to supplement my regular nutritional needs while they remain my go-to snack when studying for hours!” She first tried NuGo 1 ½ years ago, when her mom gave her one, and fell in love at first bite.
Her parents buy many boxes since her family eats at least five bars per day! They first tried them when they were given to a family member at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and now they are all hooked. Emily said, “The fact that they are a local company is just another reason to be Pittsburgh Proud.”
