Kathryn was shocked the first time she tried NuGo bars about a year ago. She had never had a protein bar that tasted so delicious and was so filling. She immediately went back to the grocery store and loaded up on all the flavors to get extra protein in her vegetarian diet. Kathryn remembers telling all her friends to try NuGo.
She loves NuGo Dark, especially Chocolate Coconut and Chocolate Chocolate Chip. She also eats NuGo Slim Crunchy Peanut Butter and Toasted Coconut. Kathryn eats NuGo bars almost every day. “I like to eat them two hours before I run because they’re filling and power me through workouts, even on the hardest of days,” she said.
Her mom also eats NuGo bars. At first, Kathryn was hesitant to let her mom try one of her NuGo bars because they are just too good to share. Eventually, she shared with her mom and got her mom hooked on them too. Her mom loves NuGo Dark Peanut Butter Cup and Mint Chocolate Chip. Kathryn explained what she likes best about NuGo.
“I love how NuGo uses pure dark chocolate and none of the fake stuff. Also the texture is fantastic. It’s crunchy and filling, plus they are pretty low calories for the size of the bar. It’s like eating a dessert with natural and real ingredients!”
Kathryn is a college student majoring in environmental science who plans to study ecology and marine biology. She has had cool internships at Wilderness Preserves working on conservation projects and sustainability.
She is a runner who runs almost every day of the week, averaging about 8 miles a day. Kathryn is on the cross country and track team at her school. She also plays water polo in the spring. Some of her favorite outdoor activities are swimming and hiking.
