Five years ago, Tina Freeze was watching a bodybuilding competition at the Arnold Sports Festival and became inspired to compete. As she watched the beautiful Erin Stern competing in the women’s Pro Figure division, Tina asked her husband if he thought she could complete. He said, “You can do anything you set your mind to do.” With her supportive husband by her side, she entered the world of bodybuilding.
In November 2012 at the age of 47, Tina took first place in the Women’s Physique Masters and third in the Women’s Physique Open Tall at the NPC Rocky Mountain in Denver, CO. The following November, at the NPC Rocky Mountain in Denver, CO, she took fourth in the Women’s Physique Masters Tall. In June 2014, Tina competed at the NPC Mid USA and NM State Bodybuilding Championships, where she won first place in the Women’s Physique Open Tall. Her next big competition will be in September 2015 at IFBB North American in Pittsburgh.
Tina keeps a couple of NuGo Dark bars in her purse or gym bag to use as a snack. Her favorites are NuGo Dark Peanut Butter Cup and NuGo Dark Chocolate Pretzel, but she also eats NuGo Slim and NuGo Stronger. Tina said, “The flavor is amazing in any of these bars plus quality ingredients and excellent source of protein.”
Tina was born and raised in Texas and moved 24 years ago to Rio Rancho, New Mexico, where she resides now. She loves traveling, especially to the Caribbean or Hawaii. She also enjoys training her Pit Bull and Chesapeake Bay Retriever as well as gardening. Connect with Tina Freeze on Facebook, and follow her on Pinterest.
