Internationally competitive skier Jordan Watts is 18 years old. Currently living in Breckenridge, Colorado, Jordan is on a developmental regional team lead by Sarah Schleper, a former successful World Cup racer. She recently graduated from high school and is working hard to achieve her goal of being on the US Ski Team.
During the 2015-2016 race season she traveled to Australia, British Columbia, Quebec, Colorado, Utah, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Vermont, and New York to compete. Jordan said, “It's been a great experience so far, with some awesome results along the way. At the mid-year NorAms in Whiteface, NY, I scored my first NorAm points in the Super G and Super Combined!”
In the offseason, Jordan enjoys mountain biking, road biking, tennis, and crossfit. “I also love going to the beach when I have a chance. After my post graduate season, I hope to continue the sport on a college team either in the East or the West,” she said.
Jordan comes from a “ski family.” At the age of two, this Texas native learned to ski in Vail. Her father, Troy Watts, was formerly a World Cup ski racer, her mother was a freestyle skier, and her sister is currently a nordic skier. The Watts family loves winter!
She eats at least one NuGo bar per day and her favorite is NuGo Slim Crunchy Peanut Butter. Jordan explained, “I love bringing them on the hill because they taste delicious, but are low in sugar. They also have lots of protein which keeps me going throughout the day.”
