Angelica Salustri is currently part of the trainee program at American Repertory Ballet in Princeton, New Jersey. She started dance at the age of three and has always loved dancing and performing on stage. The older she got, the more serious she wanted to be and decided that she wanted to become a professional dancer. “I feel in love with the challenge, both artistically and physically,” she said. Her current goal is to train really hard with the hopes of joining the American Ballet Theater in New York City one day, which is considered the best ballet company in the U.S.
Angelica is both gluten and lactose intolerant, which makes it very hard to find a protein bar that has both and tastes delicious. She discovered NuGo bars three years ago. As soon as she saw that they were gluten-free and vegan, she knew she had to try it. Ever since, she’s been addicted to them. She’s enjoyed sharing them with her friends.
“That’s one big reason I love the NuGo bars because they are both gluten-free and vegan. Also, their cookies and protein bars have so much protein which helps me get through the day when I am in the studio for six to seven hours per day. I love bringing them to dance with me and snacking on them throughout the day when I don’t have much time. It gives me the protein I need while also satisfying my sweet tooth.”
Her favorite NuGo flavors are NuGo Dark Mint Chocolate Chip and Dark Mocha Chocolate. She also loves NuGo Free Dark Chocolate Crunch. In the NuGo Protein Cookie line, she loves Dark Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter Chocolate.
Outside of dance, Angelica loves being active, whether it is going on walks, exploring New York City, or attending workout classes at the gym like pilates or yoga. Follow her journey on Instagram.
